Current status
Hoist has AFSA B2G Discovery access and written approval for the org-only commercial-resale model. Direct AFSA production access is being rolled into the provider stack behind the product. Public product access remains scoped to the checks enabled on your account.
We state this carefully because PPSR is not just another API. The source, approval path, and account controls matter. If your use case needs a specific source path or contract wording, contact us before going live.
Supported scope
- Organisation grantor searches (by ACN or ABN against a registered business entity).
- Serial-number searches (VIN, chassis, equipment serial).
- Explicitly out of scope: Individual-grantor searches, bulk register extracts, and downstream resale as a standalone data product without a separate agreement. Hoist does not offer individual searches. See /trust/npii-boundary.
What this means for you today
PPSR and ABN are the first Hoist datasets. Your agent can use them through API, MCP, or CLI once your account has access. Responses are labelled by source and by outcome, so a human can tell what was checked.
When our standing changes
Material changes to PPSR access, scope, or operating limits will be posted here and, where relevant, in /changelog. We'd rather update the page than bury the details in sales calls.
