Current status
Account access does not make paid PPSR searches available. Hoist will publish availability only after verified AFSA production access, a successful billable live search, and the matching durable audit evidence are proved.
We state this carefully because PPSR is not just another API. The source, approval path, and account controls matter. If your use case needs a specific source path or contract wording, contact us before going live.
Supported scope
- Organisation grantor searches (by ACN or ABN against a registered business entity).
- Serial-number searches (VIN, chassis, equipment serial).
- Explicitly out of scope: Individual-grantor searches, bulk register extracts, and downstream resale as a standalone data product without a separate agreement. Hoist does not offer individual searches. See /trust/npii-boundary.
What this means for you today
ABN and other available source workflows can be used through API, MCP, or CLI with account access. PPSR contracts remain discoverable, but both preview and paid-search calls fail closed until the proof conditions above are met. Account access or a plan does not unlock them.
When our standing changes
PPSR access, scopes, and operating limits are currently unavailable through Hoist. Any future material change will be posted here and, where relevant, in /changelog. We'd rather update the page than bury the details in sales calls.
