An AFSA serial-number search can query the PPSR by an eligible property identifier rather than an organisation. Identifier rules vary by collateral type; use AFSA's current guidance outside Hoist.
What it returns
An AFSA-direct result can show registrations returned for the exact inquiry and can include an official certificate. It does not prove broad asset clearance, title, or the absence of interests outside that inquiry.
Why it matters
Asset-finance teams may use an externally obtained AFSA record as one scoped diligence input. It still needs identifier validation, source attribution, timestamp context, and human review; Hoist does not currently produce this record.
Org-only scope
Serial-number subjects sit inside Hoist's future org-only PPSR contract. Hoist preview and paid search are currently unavailable and fail closed without a price or register dispatch; approved access, a credential, account, or plan does not make a serial-number call run.
